The new Laurier Brantford YMCA opened its doors early in September of this year. This partnership between Wilfrid Laurier University and the YMCA of Hamilton/Burlington/Brantford has expanded athletic opportunities for students at the Brantford campus. The new Laurier Brantford YMCA complex is located on the south side of Colborne Street close to municipal parking. The facility will serve residents of Brantford, Brant County and Six Nations, the postsecondary institutions in the community, including Conestoga College, and other visitors. Forum Athletic is proud to be a part of such an innovative project!

The 120,000-square-foot facility includes:

A full double gym designed for sports and competition with Irwin telescopic seating for 860 people and four ceiling mounted electric backstops featuring Laurier branding.

A single YMCA branded gym for drop-in sports and larger programs featuring two ceiling mount electric backstops and four fixed backstops.

The general contractor on the project was D Grant Construction and the architect on the project was CannonDesign who were fortunate enough to win and award of excellence designation from Architect Magazine for distinctive design
